Present simple in AFFIRMATIVE

Today we are going to learn simple present tense. The simple present tense is used for general truth, actions  that are done often, usually, sometimes or everyday.
I am going to explain the simple present in affirmative.In the following link we are going to find the explanations to this tense.




Present simple in affirmative: Rule:
I  You  We   They  +  invitnitive
Ex: I play the piano

For third person singular, He She It We add "s" to the verb
Ex: He plays the piano

Some variants:

  • Verbs ending in "o", sh, ch, ss and x we add -es to the verb.
Ex: He goes to school by bus

  • Verbs ending in consonants + y.
  • We change "y" for "i" and "es" to the verb.
Ex: He cries
